Most of the infinite ammo glitches have been fixed so it's unlikely you just accidentally glitched multiple guns. Those # in the ammount line should look familiar, thats your ammo capacity. I don't really see how this is faster.

I am using an out of the box copy of goty edition. The scariest thing in the game is accidentally hitting something that reflects your damage at you.
